Classic lines meets modern design. This newspaper revamp was designed with the reader in mind. A clean and traditional aesthetic was used with the idea to regain the respect and admiration for USA Today and the newspaper as a medium overall.
People effortlessly type out text using software that manipulates and rearranges pixels. Open Closed was brought to life by taking a small aspect of our digital spaces and bringing it into the physical. We sought out to create kinetic type that had the ability to take on multiple forms. Inspired from geometric abstract forms, decay, and artists such as Charles Hinman. Rust Away is a set of address numbers that are meant to age with you. Place them on your home and let them experience the natural process of decay. Going from perfect polished order to a rough rusty surface.
They are made from 1/4" steel, cut by water jet, and each number is bent at 35 degrees on both sides.
This set is currently rusting.

From concept to creation the Thirdwall was given a comprehensive brand development and analysis. Shown here are components of the brand identity, story, style guide, and website application.

G.I. Joe is back and this time he's saving the heroes!
The task was to create a new strong tagline and design an advertisement based on G.I. Joe the American Hero.
I came back with concepts, copy, and illustrations proving who the ultimate hero really is by showcasing G.I. Joe using his skills to save all the other superheroes.
After traveling through Hong Kong and Japan, I came back with a new and positive view on public transportation. Urban Paper City was then created to help spread this excitement.
A series of 5 interactive posters were created to introduce a playful element to public transportation and to challenge the negative connotations that surround it.
Each poster is available for free at the link below.
This typeface is in honor of everyone who I had the pleasure of working with during my 5 years at CNUSD & GGUSD.

A gang of motley characters who were born and raised on the streets with only a skateboard at hand. They found their way to GIRL and have joined up to take over this city!
These street characters were illustrated and designed for GIRL Skateboards Select Series. To help show the reach of this concept, 4 boards, 3 shirts, 5 buttons/pins, 1 set of wheels, 2 life-size cutout displays, and a window display were produced.
Another Select Series design for Girl Skateboards.
Conceptually this design is focused around the spiritual nature of the Indian mandala symbol and visually relating their beautiful intricacies to the universe.
